Simple Vinegarette

Prepare to become totally obsessed with salads! This is the only dressing recipe you’ll ever need. It goes with any salad and turns even the most boring salad into a taste sensation. What makes this so practical is you can make the dressing from scratch in less than a minute and there’s no chopping or washing up. All the ingredients go into a jar and it keeps in the fridge for 5 days.

Its thanks to this dressing that my boys now eat salads regularly and my eldest demands it almost every day. I seriously couldn’t be happier.

Store-bought salad dressings contain a lot of hidden sugar and additives. There is nothing nutritional about them. This dressing however is completely different. Packed with incredible goodness that will only add to your enjoyment.

Apple cider vinegar, helps with acid reflux, balance blood sugar levels, and even lower cholesterol. Then there’s maple syrup – it adds sweetness and is packed with nutrients like zinc, magnesium, and calcium, which have anti-cancer benefits. Finally, olive oil brings rich, healthy fats with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.

you added Dijon mustard? it wasn’t in the video with just the three ingredients. does it make the taste different?

    • Sharon Selby on June 12, 2024 at 2:17 pm

Hi Toni, yes it is in the video and yes I would add it. But feel free to try without. It wont be as balanced but still great I imagine. Sharon xx

    • Sharon Selby on July 8, 2024 at 6:14 pm

Yes Toni Ive added dijon mustard. It adds a lot of great flavour and makes the dressing a little thicker. THe video shared the dijon mustard with a spoon. Sharon xx

Is that correct ? 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard ?
    Sounds a lot

    • Sharon Selby on June 14, 2024 at 2:37 pm

Yep it’s right. Surprisingly balanced. But add a bit less and taste. You can always add more. But those measurements are 👌

Hi there, the recipe looks great. I am wondering if monk fruit could be substituted tor the maple syrup as I try not to eat sugar/maple syrup. If yes any idea how much I should use?

    • Sharon Selby on July 8, 2024 at 6:13 pm

Yes thats fine. You can always test the recipe so start with a little monk fruit and keep adding until the balance is right. Im not sure on quantity as I havent used it. Sharon xx
